Ascella - We havent visited Ascella in a couple of years but it still remains one of our faves. As you walk around the mountain (again the path is pretty clear) you will come to a clifftop which is the perfect spot to get a photo as you and your partner stare out into the vast canyon, completely alone, just the two of you (and your photographer, probably 100m away). Finchleys lookout offers amazing 360 views of the remote wilderness area and an insight into the Aboriginal cultural heritage of Yengo National Park. Its ridiculous how many resorts and hotels were being built on top of giant mountains back then. A short hike through the bush up the the point is well worth the effort. As well as the famous hot spots well share all our favourite hidden gems to help you plan the perfect trip to the glorious Hunter Valley. Theres a lovely atmosphere with so many families out enjoying the the many different displays together. Many of whom actually have enquired about hosting their ceremony on the cliffs edge.
